One thing I forgot to mention about PAX East last March, was the fact that the XBLA marketing department released a set of 6 limited edition postcards featuring Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet and other upcoming games. The postcards, designed to look like vintage movie posters, were quite a hit with the crowd. Only 700 copies of the set were printed so those puppies are pretty rare. Here's a look.
A couple of months ago, I was contacted by Mercedes Milligan, associate editor for Animation Magazine. She asked me if I'd be willing to be the subject of their monthly feature called, “A Day in the Life of...”, to which I answered, "sure, why not!"
And so, I proceeded to photographically document my day, giving an insight into my not so glamorous life. The pictures and captions I provided are featured in the April/May issue. I scanned the page for your viewing pleasure. You can click here for a larger view.
Just added three new pieces to my fan art page. The first one is a cool pottery of Meeka, from The Towers of Numar. It comes from a young artist named Hannah Moffat.
The elegant bedroom motif comes from Magda Jasicka & Bartek Kielban and was inspired by the art of Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet.
And this super cute drawing of Aven, from my graphic novel, The Saga of Rex, comes from a promising illustrator who goes by the pseudo, SkunkyRainbow270.
The "Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet" video interviews from PAX East in Boston have been surfacing on the web. It's pretty traumatic to look at myself being interviewed but I know my family and friends will enjoy the videos embeded below. I also updated the "press page" of the ITSP website where I compiled the reviews of our PAX demo. Looks like we got thumbs up from everyone.
Speaking of the game, it is nearly done and it looks and sounds incredible, and is super fun to play! What a fantastic team Joe and I have working with us! True wizards!
For some strange reason, I couldn't embed the video interview from Giant Bomb. It is one of the better ones, so here's the link.
Congratulations! The West Chester Film Festival has selected your film, “Sensology” as a nominee in our Best Experimental/Art category.
Nominees are selected by choosing the top-scoring films as determined by our screeners. They are then viewed by a jury of industry professionals who determine a winner in each category. Winners are announced at the Festival’s Closing Night Party. Winners who are present receive the “Coveted Chester,” a custom designed and handmade glass statuette. Winners who are not present will be contacted the following day, and emailed a certificate and winner laurels the following week.
Thank you, and congratulations.

A couple of days ago, I received a copy of a very cool magazine from India called, Animation Reporter. I really enjoyed the magazine which focuses a great deal on animation filmmakers and their craft.
I was also surprised and delighted to find that my latest short film, Sensology, was spotlighted over two pages. I guess I'd completely forgotten the interview I did with them after the Oscar Shortlist announcement back in December. Click on the images below for a larger view.
